The Red Elephant Extension is for Red Elephant Way staff who estimate in Togal. It adds Organize Sheets, Project Summary, and Takeoff to a drawing set and files sheets into the shop's folders and keeps Discard last. Takeoff runs Togal's count on the floor plans and keeps doors and exit signs in the estimator's own view. It also puts a red dot on each exterior sign callout on floor plans, elevations, and site plans. Second Look on the Discard folder reads sheets that mention signage, wayfinding, monument, sign, or signs, and Discard sheets next to kept sheets, even with no keyword. It adds the folder, reason, and note as a markup in the estimator's own view of each sheet it reads, and it may make a missing view.

The Togal session stays in the browser. The extension sends it only to Togal, so it can read and file the set the estimator already has open, reorder folders so Discard stays last, and so Takeoff can set a missing page scale, make a missing view, start Togal's count, remove the other counts, and add Sign Ref classifications and dots. Project Summary also sends a question to TogalGPT with that session. Togal keeps the question and the answer in that estimator's TogalGPT history.

Sorting sends the extension version and, for each unfiled sheet and each sheet in Discard, the sheet's id, number, title, and discipline, plus which search phrases matched that sheet, to this site. This site uses those fields to choose a folder. It does not store them. Second Look also sends, for each Discard sheet it reads, that sheet's id, number, title, discipline, and all of that sheet's text. This site sends those to Google's Gemini on Vertex AI to choose a folder. It does not store them. Project Summary sends TogalGPT's answer to this site so the site can lay it out. The site does not store that answer. The saved summary is written onto the set in Togal, under the set's metadata. Second Look adds its folder, reason, and note as a markup in the estimator's own view of each sheet it reads, and it may make a missing view. Save PDF sends the card's text to this site so the site can build the file. The site does not store that PDF. Takeoff sends each floor plan's, elevation's, and site plan's id, title, and tags to this site. This site decides which sheets are sign location plans and which counts to keep. Takeoff also sends the text and position of each sign note on those sheets. This site chooses the sign dots. It does not store them, and it does not send them to Gemini. Takeoff keeps the view ids it started in chrome.storage.local until those sheets are cleaned.

Sign-in uses the estimator's Google email to decide whether the account is allowed. The extension keeps the sign-in token in chrome.storage.local on that computer for 90 days.

A debug log stays in the tab's session storage so an estimator can copy it. The log does not include the Togal session or the sign-in token. It is cleared when the tab closes. When the log has an error, the extension sends that log to this site, which emails it to haga@dfwcto.tech. The site does not store the log.

The extension does not show ads, sell data, or use analytics.
